On December 21, 2012 the newly appointed Head of the European Union (EU) Delegation, Ambassador Yuri Sherk was accepted at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Ambassador presented copies of credentials.
During conversation there was an exchange of views on a wide range of issues of relations between Uzbekistan and the European Union, international and regional problems.
The mutual interests in the development of bilateral cooperation in political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other fields were expressed.
It was noted that the parties give priority to promote dialogue at various levels, the implementation of joint programs and projects under the Strategy of new partnership of EU on Central Asia.
The practical aspects of the upcoming bilateral contacts also cooperation in the international arena were discussed on the meeting.
