On November 15, 2012 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted meeting with the Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Slovenia who stayed in Tashkent in connection with participation in international conference «Constitution and the high legal culture - the foundation of democratic society».
The parties exchanged opinions about position and prospects of deepening of the Uzbek-Slovenian dialogue, including issues of «Uzbekistan - European Union», the press-service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan informs.
It was stressed that both sides pay special attention to strengthening of long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
Special attention was paid to the intensification of inter-parliamentary ties, implementation of proposals for development of bilateral institutions of cooperation, including trade-economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
It was noted that the current most favourable mode, operating in mutual trade, allows not only to increase the mutual trade, but also to diversify the ways of expansion of the supplied goods and services nomenclature.
The two sides also discussed some issues of international and regional character.
The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of Slovenia - Ada Philip-Slivnik.
